Book Week 2015 is over. I feel like I’ve been hammered out flat, but I am happy. This feedback I received this morning might show you why:<\/p>\n
In answer to the question \u201cWhat was the best part of the performance?\u201d<\/strong> our students told us how much they enjoyed the readings from the books, saying things like \u201cWhen he was reading, as it was interesting and the books were intense and fun\u201d and \u201cWhen he read to us from his books as he read with lots of expression.\u201d However, they also enjoyed the Q&A part: \u201cThe fascinating answers he gave to the questions\u201d and \u201cI found the detail of his answers and his imagination was really good\u201d.\u00a0 And one student said \u201cI think the best part of the performance was everything!!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n When asked \u201cHow will this help with your school work in the future?\u201d <\/strong>they focussed on the writing skills aspect: \u201cHe gave ideas of how to write a good and imaginative story\u201d, \u201cIt will help me with my creative writing\u201d, \u201cDuring Sam reading to us I noticed some writing techniques which could help me in English\u201d, \u201cI know how to plan and make my stories more exciting.\u201d In response to the question \u201cWhat did you learn today?\u201d<\/strong> there were two main themes. The students focussed on the messages that they need to seize the day and that they need to read. In the \u201cAny other comments\u201d<\/strong> section they said some lovely things: \u201cThank you for visiting and good luck in the future\u201d, \u201cThank you for coming!\u201d and the best one, \u201cHe is a lovely person, hope he does fantastically well, I can\u2019t explain how I am feeling right now, loved it!!!\u201d<\/em><\/p>\n I love school visits. <\/strong>Thanks and best wishes to everyone I met this week. \ud83d\ude00<\/p>\n Sam<\/p>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":" Book Week 2015 is over.
