In the brief period between the last late-night talkers nodding off and the first early-morning ones waking, I opened my eyes and <strong>listened<\/strong>.<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img loading=\"lazy\" decoding=\"async\" class=\"aligncenter size-full wp-image-1711\" src=\"http:\/\/www.mynameiso.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/TheView.jpg\" alt=\"TheView\" width=\"480\" height=\"640\" srcset=\"http:\/\/www.mynameiso.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/TheView.jpg 480w, http:\/\/www.mynameiso.co.uk\/news\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/11\/TheView-225x300.jpg 225w\" sizes=\"auto, (max-width: 480px) 100vw, 480px\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: left;\">The wind grappled with the roof, making it ripple and crack like sails on a stormy sea. Rain smashed down like hammers.
